We’ll have a quick meet ‘n’ greet chat discussing your business or project goals. Following our conversation, I'll send over a summary outlining the scope, process, and level of research and strategy we'll need to bring your vision to life.
Discovery & Research

We'll delve into the heart of who you are, who you’re not, who you serve, and how you’re different. I also work zealously behind the scenes exploring, mining for data, and generally learning everything I can about your industry, audience, and market landscape.
Strategy & Moodboard

Informed by the workshop and research insights, we start mapping out your visual direction. You’ll review a curated moodboard and a polished strategy guide that outlines your unique positioning. Once we're aligned on the foundation, we can move forward with design.
Presentation & Feedback

Time to see your vision come to life. I present a carefully-crafted design tailored to your goals, usually on a live call. I walk you through the strategy and thought process behind every design decision. I then refine the design based on your feedback to align with the goals we’ve established.

Process FAQs

How many design concepts do you provide?
For brand visual identity (logo etc.), I use the one-concept approach, eliminating 'analysis paralysis.' That means I present a single logo direction that is the result of deep research and thought. My process is iterative, and our collaboration at the research stage ensures we’re 100% aligned before we move on to design. So you’re very likely to love the brand design on the first go!
How actively involved do I need to be in this process?
Of course I encourage your hands-on involvement at every stage, but we’re all busy — I get it 🙂. The bare minimum I’ll need you to commit to includes active participation at the discovery stage, the live deliverable presentation calls, and the deliverable review stage.
Can we skip the strategy part and jump straight into design?
Research is the key to the success of your visual identity! I’ve honed my process and narrowed it down to the absolute unskippables for most businesses. That said, if you have already done a good amount of branding work, or your business is smaller and more straight-forward, we can talk about customizing the process.
What if I already have a brand strategy?
That’s great! Having an existing brand strategy often reduces the time we'll need to invest in research and discovery. After reviewing your existing strategy on our intro call, I’ll have a better sense of how much additional research is necessary
What happens if I'm not happy with the end product?
It’s never happened, and I’m committed to ensuring it never will. Since the process is collaborative in nature, it prevents the disappointment of a big, off-the-mark reveal. But if you somehow are disappointed even after all our joint research, I’ll keep going back to the drawing board relentlessly until we nail it.
